Asking is free. Giving is free. It stays that way, because a platform that charges a person for help is a marketplace, and this is not one. We would rather carry the cost ourselves and have people use what we built as soon as possible.
After the public launch there will be a paid option. Better matching, priority support, more of your own record made visible to you. An addition for people who want it. Nothing that is free today moves behind it.
Three things that are not how we make money. We do not sell advertising. We do not sell member data, to anybody, at any price. And no money passes between members, which is what keeps a favour a favour.
What does fund it. Organisations that want their people to be able to reach each other, and who pay us to make that possible. That opens after the launch, and it is described on Partners.
