Five, because five is what it takes to leave nothing out. Security, communication, integrity, governance, excellence. They do not overlap, and between them there is no part of how this company behaves that none of them covers. They were written before the product existed, which is the only time it is possible to write them honestly.

Five documents that decide what we will not do.
Five Protocols govern Gigets. They were written before the product existed. They bind founders, contributors, community leads, advisers and investors identically, adherence is a condition of participation, and conduct incompatible with them ends the relationship.
Each governs its own domain, and together they leave no significant part of conduct, decision or performance ungoverned.
The full text is internal, because a governance document written for an audience stops being a governance document. Advisers, contributors and investors receive it in full before they commit to anything. What follows is the part that concerns you.
01 · Security
People, systems, and member data
What Gigets owns is the trust between its members, so security is the condition of the product working at all.
Access. Granted per person, for a stated reason, and revoked the day it stops being needed. A departure revokes access the same day. Every access to member data is itself logged.
Accounts. Two-factor authentication on every internal account that touches member data, code or infrastructure. Credentials are never shared.
Tooling. Member data never passes through a tool we have not approved. Convenience is not a reason.
Location. Primary storage of member data is in the European Union. Anything processed elsewhere is covered by Standard Contractual Clauses and named on the Subprocessors page.
Deletion. Erasure and export are tested end to end, search indexes and vector stores included, before members are admitted rather than after. An untested deletion path does not exist.
Breach. Any suspected compromise reaches the founder within the hour. Where members are at risk, the supervisory authority is notified within 72 hours and members are told directly, in plain language. Concealing a breach is treated more seriously than causing one.
Three lines that are about you. Your data is never sold, never brokered and never used for advertising. Exchange conversations are read only for safety, disputes and aggregate signals, and every one of those reads is logged. You can take your data and leave at any time.
02 · Communication
Internal flow, the record, and external voice
Inside. English is the working language. Information is shared generously by default rather than on request. In any review the most junior person speaks first and the founder speaks last, because a room that has already heard the founder is a room that has stopped thinking. Every significant decision is written down with an owner and a date. Verbal agreements do not exist here.
Outside. One authorised person speaks to each audience. No claim is made that cannot be substantiated, which is why there is not a single member number anywhere on this site. Nothing unreleased leaves the company: roadmap, unshipped mechanics, member identities, cap table.
The standing assumption. Anything written inside may one day be read outside. The rule is not to write carefully. It is to do nothing that reads badly in daylight.
We argue a philosophy, how reciprocity works and why it pays, rather than how good our product is. Philosophy travels on its own. Promotion has to be bought.
03 · Integrity, Transparency and Accountability
Conduct, the product, and counterparties
We intend to get the best out of people and situations, never to profit from wrongdoing or weakness. No revenue is taken from exploitation, addiction or anybody's difficulty. No decision turns on sex, race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, orientation, age, disability or background.
Four rules built into the product itself, not into a policy about it.
Price exchanges, never people. No per-person rate exists in the schema, in the API, or in a conversation. No leaderboards, no ratings, no score on a human being.
The system mediates, it does not replace. Every automated output ends in something two people do together.
No advertising. No third party pays to reach a member, and no third party pays to reach one member ahead of another.
Explain every output. Every match and every price carries a reason a member can read. Whatever cannot be explained is not shipped.
The wall. Where a conflict of interest would cost credibility, the two functions are permanently separated, the founder's included: whoever prices an exchange never gains from its price.
Capital. Money whose origin cannot be verified is refused outright, whatever it would buy us.
When something goes wrong, transparency goes up rather than down.
04 · Governance
Authority, loyalty, and decisions
Clear authority liberates. When everybody understands who decides what and why, effort goes into building instead of into working out who decides.
Authority. Final strategic authority rests with the founder, and control is designed to stay there through the financing path, with a permanent veto disclosed in full to anybody asked to rely on it. Every opinion is heard, and the better-founded opinion on the specific matter carries the decision. Expertise, not rank.
Five constitutional invariants. The closed loop. Exchanges priced, never persons. No advertising. No leaderboards. An explanation on every output. None is traded away for convenience, and changing one requires a signed founder decision on the record.
Speed. Reversible decisions are made fast and corrected faster. Irreversible ones get thought proportional to how permanent they are. Every open question carries an owner and a date, because doing nothing is a decision and usually the worst one available.
Ownership. Work done for this company is assigned to it in writing before it begins.
Reciprocity inside. Practised internally, deliberately and visibly. A company cannot sell reciprocity it does not run on.
05 · Excellence
The will to build, craft, and culture
Distinct or extinct. We do not compete inside an existing category. We build the one where competing stops mattering.
Craft. Simplicity is earned and it takes a long time. Complexity that reaches a member is a failure of craft, so the experience is designed first and the technology is built backwards from it. Every architectural decision is taken against one test: does it hold at ten times the users without a rebuild.
Shipping. Shipped work compounds. Perfect work that never ships does not.
Tools. The best available, and AI above all. A company this small is only possible because of what it refuses to do by hand.
Ideas. Fought over hard and impersonally. Attacking a weak idea is an obligation rather than an aggression. Everybody owns their output entirely, the credit and the consequences both. Nobody waits to be told.
Why this is public
You are being asked to put real needs, sometimes private ones, into a product run by people you have never met. The standard we hold ourselves to is relevant information, and withholding it while asking for your trust would be a strange way to begin.
Anybody considering working with us, advising us, funding us, or bringing a network here should see how decisions get made before they commit, not after.
A promise written where everybody can see it is much harder to abandon quietly. That is most of the point.
